Sunsetting of Finch-based Hypersyncs

What’s happening?

Hyperproof has partnered with Merge, a leading Unified API platform that enables seamless connectivity to hundreds of third-party integrations across key software categories — all through a single API.

As part of this partnership, Hyperproof has released new Hypersyncs based on the Merge platform and will sunset the corresponding Finch-based Hypersyncs.

What do I need to do and by when?

After April 27,  2026, any Finch-based Hypersyncs that have not been updated will fail to run.

The following Hypersyncs are affected:

  • ADP Workforce Now

  • BambooHR

  • bob

  • Ceridian Dayforce

  • Justworks

  • Personio

  • UltiPro (UKG Pro)

  • Workday

For each of the affected Hypersyncs, you will need to setup a new Hypersync and re-create any automated tests, if there are any setup. Finally you’ll need to delete the affected Finch-based Hypersync. To help you identify the affected Hypersyncs the system will prepend (Deprecated) to the name for both the connection name, and Hypersync name as shown in the control or label.

From the Settings > Connected accounts window, for each of the affected Hypersyncs, do the following:

  1. Click the connection to view it.

  2. Click View to view the control or label where the Hypersync is configured.

  3. Click Create Hypersync to set up the new Hypersync.

  4. Now you can remove the affected Hypersync. It will be prefixed with the label (Deprecated) before the name. From the More menu (...) on the (Deprecated) Hypersync choose Delete Hypersync to remove the Finch-based Hypersync.

    Note

If you have any automated control tests configured for the Hypersync you are deleting, Hyperproof displays a warning indicating that those tests will be permanently disabled.

  5. Select the Tests tab on the control or label.

  6. Review any existing tests that were disabled and click New test to recreate them.

Updated Hypersync SDK - Action Required

This release includes an updated version of the Hypersync SDK, now running on Node.js 22.

Customers using the Hypersync SDK for custom-built Hypersyncs must upgrade to version 6.0.0 by May 1. The upgrade requires rebuilding and redeploying each custom app to ensure compatibility.

For step-by-step guidance, see the migration instructions: https://developer.hyperproof.app/hypersync-sdk/sdk-019-migration-v3-to-v6

Addressed issues

  • Fixed an issue in the Hypersync for Azure where resources deployed in the US region did not appear in the resource selection dropdown during proof configuration. (Case # 00010293)

  • Fixed an issue in the Proof module where selecting a large number of proof pieces at once caused the request to time out, preventing users from proceeding with bulk actions such as applying labels. (Case # 00010860, 00010931)

  • Fixed an issue where attachments in Audit Requests could not be converted to proof after using Link back proof. (Case # 00010944, 00011073)

  • Fixed an issue in the Hypersync for KnowBe4 where multiple scheduled syncs running simultaneously triggered KnowBe4 rate limits, causing “unable to import proof” failures. (Case # 00011181)

  • Fixed an issue for customers with multiple organizations where opening control links in a new tab could sign users out and show errors. (Case # 0011251)

  • Fixed an issue in the Audit Requests export workflow where the Review and confirm window displayed the total number of proof files across selected requests instead of the number of proof files that matched the specified date range. (Case # 00011259)

  • Fixed an issue where selections in multi-select custom fields were not retained on controls.(Case # 00011262)

  • Fixed an issue where, when a user created an approval, the system sometimes created a duplicate of that approval. (Case # 0011236)

  • Fixed an issue in risk assessment evaluations where selecting a Category in one risk register and then switching to another risk register that didn’t include that Category caused an on-screen error. (Case # 00011308)

  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to view tasks and repeating tasks unless they switched back and forth from card view to grid view, which forced a screen refresh. (Case # 00011154)

  • Fixed an issue where email notifications triggered by @mentions or comments in the activity feed were not being sent. (Case # 00011353, 00011377)
