Release Notes - 2023-MAR-09

Added

M2M API authentication

  • Hyperproof now supports two API client types: service account and personal. Administrators can now configure an integration that can act on all objects in Hyperproof. The associated service principal is effectively an automated user (in the Activity Feed, actions are performed by the name given to the service principal).  With the personal API client, the integration acts on behalf of a specific user (i.e. using their permissions, and with the Activity Feed showing that the specific user performed the action).

  • For more information, see Enabling M2M API authentication.

Improved

Automated testing

  • The automated testing feature is now available for all users! See Automated control testing.

  • Added a testing feature that allows users to specify what the test results should be if the linked proof doesn’t contain data.

Hypersyncs and integrations

  • Updated Hypersync: Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD). The List of Users proof now includes the last password change date.

Program frameworks

  • New framework: OWASP ASVS.  The OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) Project provides a basis for testing web application technical security controls and also provides developers with a list of requirements for secure development.

  • New framework: PIPEDA. Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act is a Canadian law relating to data privacy. It governs how private sector organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial business.

  • Updated crosswalks: PCI DSS 4, LGPD, CSA 4, ISO 27001-2022, and TISAX are now included in crosswalks. This update also includes many improvements to crosswalk quality and relevance.

Addressed issues

  • Fixed an issue with automated testing of proof in the XLSX format where test results are correct, but the display of test failures shows the wrong rows.

  • Fixed an issue with the Cloudflare Hypersync where the customer encountered an error configuring the Hypersync.

  • Fixed an issue with the Asana task integration that prevented users from creating new Asana tasks from a Hyperproof task.

  • Fixed an issue with the SharePoint Proof Picker integration where subsites were not listed if the user didn’t have access to parent sites.

  • Fixed an issue with the Box Proof Picker integration where the user had to frequently reauthenticate.

  • Fixed an issue where the request list filter was not preserved when using the browser’s back button to return to that view. Hyperproof now preserves the filter.

  • Fixed an issue where audit request statuses were displayed in the incorrect order.

  • Fixed a problem where comment notifications were delayed by several hours. They now go out immediately.

  • Fixed an issue with the Organization Switcher where organization names were listed with upper-case letters ahead of lower-case letters. Now the case is ignored.

  • Fixed an issue with the CSV import error resolution user interface where leading/trailing spaces were not stripped out.
