Managing proof: Freshness

Hyperproof uses the concept of freshness to manage the status of controls and labels, as well as to track whether they are up-to-date and in compliance with the requirements of the program. When you set the freshness policy on a control or label you define its expiration period at the end of which its freshness status automatically changes from Fresh to Expired.

Tip

Think of freshness as a reminder, or a countdown. For example, let’s say that you have a particular control activity that needs to be performed every 90 days. By setting the freshness, you’re essentially setting a reminder for yourself (or a team member) to complete that particular control activity before the 90 days is up.
