Editing labels

Roles and permissions

Editing permissions vary by activity. For example, archiving a label is permission-based, i.e. you must have manager permissions on the label. However, editing label freshness is role-based, i.e. you can be a manager or a contributor on the label.

Editing a single label

  1. From the left menu, select Labels.

  2. Select the label you want to edit.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • From the Details tab, edit the label name or description. Click the Add button to link controls to the label. Hover over a linked control to unlink it from the label. Note that you must have sufficient privileges to do so.

    • From the Proof tab, link or unlink proof, or mark proof as fresh.

    • From the Tests tab, create, manage, or delete an automated label test.

    • From the Automations tab, link, manage, or unlink a Hypersync or repeating task.

    • From the Issues tab, link or unlink an issue.

    • From the ... (More options) tab, set the freshness status, send activity to Slack, or archive the label.

    • From the facepile, manage user permissions for the label.

    • Click the Task icon to create a task for the label.

    • Click the Activity Feed icon to collaborate with other members of your team on the label.

Editing multiple labels at once

  1. From the left menu, select Labels.

  2. Select the checkboxes next to the labels you want to edit.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • Click Export to export the selected labels to a CSV or XLSX.

    • Click Members to add or remove members or groups, or change permissions on the selected labels. Note that you can only edit members if you have permission to do so on the selected labels.

    • Click Mark fresh to mark the selected labels as fresh.

    • Click Freshness settings to turn freshness on or off for the selected labels.
