Filtering controls

Filtering controls allows you to display only the controls that you need. Control filtering works in both card view and grid view.

Tip

Currently, Hyperproof does not support a "save filter" option. However, the filter retains the last configuration until it is manually changed.

  1. Click the Filter icon.

    The Filter window opens.

  2. Using the drop-down menus, enter one or more of the following criteria:

    • Name, ID and Description - Enter a complete or partial control name, ID or description.

      Note

When filtering by words, Hyperproof retrieves any word that contains those letters. To avoid incorrect results, it's recommended to add a space at the end of the search word.

For example, if you search the word "edge", you'll see results that contain words like "wedge". To avoid those incorrect results, enter edge_ in the search field (where the '_' is replaced by a space). Note that Hyperproof does not support the use of quotes in the search field.

    • Owner - Select a team member to view the controls they own.

    • People - Select a team member to view the controls they are a member of.

    • Groups - Select a group to view the controls they own.

    • Domain - Enter a complete or partial domain name, or select a domain from the list.

    • Program - Enter a complete or partial program name, or select a program from the list.

    • Health - Select a health status from the list.

    • Implementation - Select a status from the list.

    • Testing status - Select a status from the list.

    • Freshness - Select a status from the list.

    • Automation - Select a status from the list.

    • Scope - Enter a name, or select a scope from the list.

    • Custom fields - Select one or more of your organization’s custom fields.

Combining filter selections

Multiple selections within the same filter limit the results to objects that meet either of the selections. For example, selecting both Person A and Person B from the By assignee filter only shows objects that are assigned to either Person A or Person B.

Selections across filters limit the results to objects that meet both filters. For example, selecting Person A from the By assignee filter and Issue from the By type filter only shows objects that are issues assigned to Person A.

Additional example: In the By assignee filter, both Person A and Person B are selected. In the By type filter, both Issue and Task are selected. Hyperproof creates a list of objects that are assigned to either Person A or Person B, and a separate list of objects that are either issues or tasks. It shows the objects that are in both lists.
