Using the crosswalk view

Roles and permissions

The following roles can use the crosswalk view:

  • Administrators

  • Compliance managers

  • Users

This feature allows you to visualize and manage the crosswalk view between controls and requirements.

Modeled after the SCF Common Controls spreadsheet, controls in the crosswalk view are listed vertically, one per row, and requirements are listed horizontally, one per column.

The cell for the intersection of a control and a program lists the requirement that a specific control is linked to in the program. If a control is not part of the program, the cell displays as empty.

Fields available in the crosswalk view are Name, Health, Control ID, Domain, Description, and Program. Other fields, both built-in and custom, are not available in the crosswalk view.

To use the crosswalk view:

  1. From the left menu, select Controls.

  2. Click the Crosswalk view icon.

        Note

When sorting via the program column, the sort order is based on the number of requirements that a control is linked to.

When a column is in ascending order, the controls that have one requirement linked are listed at the top, the controls that have two requirements linked are next, the controls that have three requirements linked are after that, and so on.

When a column is in descending order, the list is reversed with the controls with the most linked requirements listed at the top.

      • To filter, click the Filter icon.

      • To resize, mouse over the header, and then mouse over the end of the column you want to resize. When the Resize arrow icon appears, drag it in the direction you want to resize the column.

    • Click the Settings icon to rearrange columns or toggle them on and off.
