What is the difference between a survey and a questionnaire?
When working in Hyperproof, you may encounter both surveys and questionnaires, and while they serve similar purposes, they differ in how they’re accessed and how they relate to objects in the platform. Questionnaires are typically sent directly to specific recipients—such as vendor contacts—using tracked invitations tied to an object type (like a vendor). In contrast, surveys are designed for broader access through a shared link and can be tied to a specific object instance, such as a particular Risk Register.
In summary, questionnaires are ideal for targeted, recipient-specific workflows (e.g., vendor due diligence), while surveys work well when you want anyone with the link to be able to submit responses (e.g., a public risk intake form).
