Collecting proof with repeating tasks

Repeating tasks are task templates that generate new tasks either on a schedule or based on a specific event. Repeating tasks can be configured for controls, labels, or risks. Configuring repeating tasks saves you time by automating task creation when those tasks are needed.

For example, if there is a recurring meeting and the meeting minutes are used as proof, you can schedule a repeating task to create a task requesting that document. If an automated control test fails, you can use that event to trigger a repeating task and request that someone review the failed test.

To use repeating tasks:

  1. Configure a repeating task template for a control or a label. See Creating a repeating task.

  2. Optionally, import repeating tasks. See Importing repeating tasks.

  3. Review repeating tasks on the Work items page. See Work items: Repeating tasks.

For more information, see the Repeating tasks tutorial.
