Deactivated users and Hypersyncs

Reassigning the work of a deactivated user also reassigns any Hypersyncs they created. The new user must be a member of the control or label in order to successfully upload new proof.

Connected apps created by a now-deactivated user continue to function as long as the credentials used are still valid.

Tip

The owner of a shared connection may be different from the person who created the Hypersync. Reassigning during the deactivation process only updates Hypersyncs—not the shared connection owner.

If the app credentials entered in the shared connection belonged to the original owner, then it is likely that those credentials were also deactivated. Another member needs to take ownership of the connection and enter credentials that work. The recommended best practice is for your IT team to create a service account and use those credentials in the shared connection. That way, if any individual user is deactivated, the service account credentials will still work.
