Updating SCIM provisioned users in Okta
After you have provisioned Okta users in Hyperproof using SCIM, you may need to update some users' information. Typically, changes are made in Okta, and those changes are synchronized to Hyperproof.
User attributes can be updated in one of two ways.
Globally - The Okta administrator can update the users' properties to edit those attributes for all apps where the user is assigned.
Individual app - If the Okta administrator navigates to the Assignments tab on the Hyperproof app in Okta, they can edit the users' properties there. The changes are isolated to the Hyperproof app and don't affect any other apps.
The global approach typically works best for a name change. However, to update a Hyperproof role, the administrator must make the change in the Hyperproof app in Okta.
Updating an email address for SCIM provisioned users in Okta
Hyperproof and Okta treat each user's email address as a unique identifier for the user. It is recommended that you make email changes in Okta which are synchronized to Hyperproof.
To update an email address in Okta update the email address in the Okta User Attributes Primary email field. When you save the change, Okta copies the Primary email address to the Username field also. Updating the Primary email address in Okta also updates Hyperproof.
