Changing a policy owner

Roles and permissions

The following roles can change a policy owner:

  • Administrators with contributor permissions for the policy

  • Anyone with manager permissions for the policy

Each policy managed in Hyperproof has an owner who is the main contact and is responsible for ensuring that the policy is updated according to the life cycle process. By default, the policy owner is the person who created the policy, but that owner can be changed.

To change a policy owner:

  1. From the left menu, select Policies.

  2. Select one or more checkboxes for the Policies that you want to update.

  3. Click Owner at the top of the window.

    The Edit owner window displays.

  4. Select the new owner from the drop-down list in the Owner field.

  5. Click Review.

    The Review and confirm window displays a message outlining the changes.

  6. Click Confirm to change the owner of the selected Policies.

You can also change the owner from the Policies > Overview window by clicking in the Owner field and selecting a new owner.
