Troubleshooting Hyperproof and Google Drive
Sometimes a file or folder might not sync because of its settings. Follow the steps below to ensure that the proper settings are selected in Google Drive.
Note
You must have proper permissions in Google Drive as either a Content Manager or Manager to change the share settings on a shared file or folder. If you don't have these permissions, contact your IT department for help.
To change the share settings on a file:
In Google Drive, open the file that won't sync.
Click the Share button in the upper-right corner.
Below General access, verify that the file is set to Anyone with the link. If the file is not set to Anyone with the link, it won't sync. If you don't have permission to change the General access settings, contact your IT department.
Click Done.
To change the share settings on a folder:
In Google Drive, open the folder you want to share.
In the right pane, click Manage access.
Tip
If you don't see the right pane, click the Information icon (view details) in the upper-right corner.
The Share window opens.
Click the Settings icon.
Verify that the Editors can change permissions and share checkbox is selected. If the checkbox is not selected, the folder won’t sync. If you don't have permission to change the settings, contact your IT department.
