Managing a task approval marked Change requested

Roles and permissions

The following object roles can edit approvals:

  • Anyone with manager permissions for the approval.

During the approval workflow, Hyperproof users are assigned approvals for specific tasks. Approvers can mark the approval as Approved or Request changes. If the approver selects Request changes, they are required to enter comments explaining what those changes are.

If any approver responds to their approval by clicking Request changes, the Hyperproof does the following:

  • Sets the task's Approval state to Change requested.

  • Cancels any incomplete approvals linked to the task.

  • Sets the task status back to In progress.

  • Notifies the task owner each time an individual marks an approval with Request changes.

  • Notifies the task assignee and includes the comments for the changes that need to be made.

To address the Change requested status, the task assignee must make the changes requested in the approval and submit the task again.

To see approval feedback in the task:

Note

Approval feedback is included in the notification to the task assignee.

  1. From the left menu, select Work Items.

  2. Select the Tasks tab.

  3. Select the task where the changes were requested.

  4. Scroll to the Approvals section and locate the approval marked Change requested.

The comments left by the approver display below the approval ID and the name of the approver. You can also see the review comments in the Activity Feed for the task.
