Retrying integrated task creation for repeating tasks
Roles and permissions
Anyone who can access the source Hyperproof task can retry creating the task in the integrated system.
When a repeating task with task integration is triggered, Hyperproof automatically attempts to create two linked items:
A task inside Hyperproof
A corresponding ticket in the connected integration, such as Jira or Asana.
If the ticket in the connected system fails to be created due to a configuration or connection issue, you can use the Try Again option on the Hyperproof task.
Note
The Try Again option is only available for tasks created by a repeating task.
When you click Try Again, Hyperproof does the following:
Uses the current task integration configuration defined on the repeating task.
Attempts to create the external ticket again using the repeating task’s latest settings.
Links the integrated task and the Hyperproof task once the creation succeeds.
Note
The Try Again option uses the configuration in the repeating task at the time that the button is clicked. This means that if the information in the repeating task has changed since the original attempt to create the task, the new information is included in the new integrated task.
To retry creating an integrated task:
From the left menu, select Work items.
Select the Tasks tab.
Locate the Hyperproof task that failed to be duplicated in the integrated system and open it.
Click Try Again to create the corresponding task in the integrated system.
Open the integrated system, such as Jira, and verify that the task was created.
