Reverting proof to a prior version

Roles and permissions

The following roles can revert proof to a prior version:

  • Administrators can revert any piece of proof to a prior version

  • Compliance managers can revert proof they own to a prior version

  • Users can revert proof they own to a prior version

If you have multiple versions of a piece of proof, you can go back to a prior version if necessary. When you revert to a prior version, Hyperproof creates a new version from the old one. For example, if you have 10 versions of a piece of proof and you revert to version 8, Hyperproof creates a version 11 with the contents of version 8.

To revert proof:

  1. From the left menu, select Proof.

  2. Locate the proof you want to revert.

    Tip

Click the Filter icon in the upper-right corner to filter results based on who owns the proof, who uploaded the proof, and/or when the proof was uploaded.

  3. Click the proof name to open the Proof viewer.

The file displays in the Proof viewer.

  4. From the right panel, click the version link.

The Version picker displays at the top of the viewer.

  5. Use the Version picker to select the version you want to revert to.

  6. At the bottom of the viewer click the Revert to this version button.

Hyperproof creates a new version with the contents of the version you selected.
