Configuring a questionnaire
Note
This option pertains to the Hyperproof TPRM product line.
The Questionnaire Builder is a flexible tool designed to help you create and configure questionnaires tailored to your needs. It allows you to organize information by adding Sections and Questions, each with customizable fields. Sections act as containers for questions, providing structure and organization, while questions capture the specific data inputs.
This configuration allows you to create powerful and dynamic questionnaires, enabling conditional logic, mandatory fields, and data mapping to catalog fields, making the questionnaire both user-friendly and informative. Here’s how each element can be configured:
Questionnaire section
A Section organizes questions into thematic or logical groups within the questionnaire, helping users understand and complete the questionnaire more easily. Sections include the following fields:
Name - The label for the section, which appears at the top, giving context to the questions it contains.
Questions - Each section can contain one or more questions, each with unique attributes and data capture types.
Sections can be rearranged within the questionnaire using drag-and-drop functionality, allowing you to customize the questionnaire’s flow according to the intended user experience.
Questionnaire questions
Questions are the specific data entry points within each section. They allow for various data types and configurations, making the questionnaire highly versatile. Use the Add button or the + icon to add new questions.
Each question includes:
Name - A clear label for the question, stating exactly what information is required from the user.
Description - Additional context or instructions related to the question to help users answer accurately.
Required - A flag indicating whether this question is mandatory. If toggled on, users must complete this question to submit the questionnaire.
Comment Required - A flag indicating whether a comment for this question is mandatory. If toggled on, users must add comments on this question to submit the questionnaire.
Map to Catalog - A function that links the question field to a catalog field of the same type, allowing data to be standardized or referenced in other parts of the system.
Other features include:
Reordering - Questions within each section can be rearranged using drag-and-drop, allowing you to control the sequence in which information is captured.
Clone - Creates a copy of the selected question.
Collaborator - Allows you to add collaborators at the question and section level.
With these options, you can create questionnaires that are not only structured and visually organized but also optimized for data accuracy and consistency.
