Adding a task to an access review

Roles and permissions

The following roles can add a task to an access review:

  • Administrators with manager permissions for the access review

  • Compliance managers with manager permissions for the access review

  • Users with manager permissions for the access review

You can use tasks to assign work related to an access review. Tasks for access reviews can be added manually or generated automatically based on launching the review and review due dates. For more information, see Access review tasks.

The Tasks tab on an access review allows you to create, assign, and monitor tasks associated with that access review. You can create tasks in Hyperproof for Hyperproof users or contacts and a notification email is sent to them when the task is assigned. If you are using task integration to assign tasks using a third-party application, the assignee can be someone who is not a Hyperproof user and will see their task in that application. For example, if you have integrated Hyperproof and Jira, the assignee will see their new task in Jira. Changes made to the Jira task are sent to the Hyperproof task.

Tasks created for access reviews also display in Work items under Tasks. Tasks might include providing a CSV file for a list of users or the company directory, or a screenshot of a user list from one of the applications being reviewed.
