Changing the task status

Roles and permissions

The following roles can change the status of a task:

  • Administrators

  • Compliance managers

  • Users

  1. From the left menu, select the tab that corresponds with the object the task is linked to. For example, if the task is linked to a control, select the Controls tab.

  2. Select the specific object. For example, if the task is linked to control ID 1234, select that control.

  3. Click the Task icon. Skip this step if you have the Task panel pinned.

  4. Select the task you want to edit.

  5. In the upper-left corner of the task window, click Submit, and then select a status from the drop-down menu. Hyperproof supports the following task statuses:

    • Not started - Work has not yet started on the task.

    • In progress - The task is currently being worked on.

    • Submitted - The task has been submitted for review.

    • Closed - The task has been completed and closed. Proof linked to the task links to the task target once the task is closed.

    • Canceled - The task no longer needs to be completed.

    Note

By design, if a task assignee changes a task from Not started to In progress, the task status still shows Submit. The Activity Feed shows the actual status of In progress.

  6. Close the task window.
