Using the policy editor
Roles and permissions
The following roles can edit a policy document with the editor:
Anyone with manager or contributor permissions for the policy.
The policy editor in Hyperproof makes it easy to create, edit, and manage your organization’s policies—all in one secure, collaborative space. Whether you prefer to keep working in your existing tools like SharePoint or Google Drive, or manage your policy content directly in Hyperproof, the policy editor gives you the flexibility and control you need. It’s designed to help teams maintain consistent, accurate, and audit-ready policies throughout their entire life cycle.
Note
Uploading images into a document being edited in the policy editor is not supported.
Using the policy editor, you can:
Import existing DOCX files and use rich text formatting, commenting, and suggestions to update your policy content.
Create a policy document from scratch in the WYZWIG editor.
Continue managing your policy documents in an external system, such as SharePoint or Google Docs, and simply view them in Hyperproof when needed.
Ensure that policy documents are locked once they become effective or are retired, preventing additional editing after approval.
Allow reviewers and approvers to comment and suggest changes directly in the document.
Automatically generate a PDF of the policy document when it becomes effective.
