Form conditions

Note

This option pertains to the Hyperproof TPRM product line.

Conditions allow you to show or hide specific questions or entire sections based on the responses to previous questions. This feature helps create dynamic and personalized forms by tailoring the user experience based on their responses to specific questions. See Form conditional question types for more information.

Configuring a conditional question in a form

To illustrate how to configure a conditional question, we will use an example scenario. Assume you have a form with a single select question containing two possible options: Option 1 and Option 2. You want to display a specific section only if the user selects Option 1.

  1. From the menu, select Settings.

  2. Select Forms.

A list of existing forms displays.

  3. Locate the form where you want to add the conditional question and select it. For this example, be sure to select an existing form with several questions and sections.

    The Form builder window displays.

  4. From the left menu, select the section where you want to add the conditional question.

  5. Click Add Question.

    The Add Question window displays.

  6. In the Search existing fields by type field, type Single select to find that field type.

  7. Click Single select, then click +Create New.

A question panel is added to the section.

  8. In the Enter Question field, type the question the user needs to answer.

  9. In the Option title field, enter Option 1.

  10. Click +Add Option and enter Option 2.

  11. Click Save.

  12. Click the question to open it for editing.

  13. Click the dropdown arrow in the field to the right of Option 1 and select one of the following options.

    • Go to question <Question Name>

    • Go to Section <Section Name>

Choose the section or question that should be shown when Option 1 is selected.

  14. Repeat the process for Option 2.

  15. Click Save.
