Roles and permissions
The following roles can configure due dates to generate notifications:
Administrators who are members of the policy.
Compliance managers who are members of the policy.
Policies automatically generate email notifications and reminders for approvals and periodic reviews. Emails notify approvers when it is time to begin reviewing and approving new policy documents and policy owners when it is time to schedule a review for an existing policy. Notifications contain a link to access the documents or policy to be reviewed. Notifications are sent based on the due dates configured for the policy document approval or review and are triggered as follows:
Notifications are sent to approvers when they are assigned to approve a policy document and if the approval due date is changed after the approval task is created.
Notifications are sent to approvers with outstanding approvals 7 days from the approval due date, on the due date, and every 7 days after the approval due date. The due date can be updated on the approval record.
Notifications are sent to the policy owner when an approver selects either Approve or Request changes in an approval task.
