Using Hyperproof to perform assessments

Use the steps below to help you perform an assessment using Hyperproof.

Note

The assessments dashboard cannot be customized.

  1. Create the assessment

    1. Choose which controls, requirements, or risks to evaluate.

    2. Determine what fields (if any) you'd like to review as part of the assessment.

    3. Add custom fields to evaluations to capture any assessment-specific scores you don't want to record directly on the controls, requirements, or risks.

      Note

Note that the custom fields must be created under Settings > Custom fields before you can add them to an evaluation. See Working with custom fields.

  2. Assign users to the assessment - Assigned users can peform the following actions:

    1. Evaluate controls, requirements, or risks

    2. Link related objects (if necessary)

    3. Collaborate with team members

    4. Track inconsistencies with issues

  3. Create tasks to assign evaluation workloads

  4. Review and approve the evaluation

  5. Link proof to evaluations

    1. This could be evidence of a test performed for operational effectiveness.

    2. This could be a detailed breakdown of how a control, requirement, or risk scores in a certain assessment framework

    3. This could be a cost breakdown of control, requirement, or risk activities if you’re evaluating cost

  6. Optionally, do the following:
