Hyperproof and Asana

Roles and permissions

  • Only administrators can configure Asana for their organization

The Asana integration allows organizations to collect proof without disrupting their usual workflow.

Note

You must have editor access-level rights in Asana to connect Hyperproof to your instance of Asana.

Note

The Hyperproof integration for Asana is not supported in the Hyperproof Gov instance.

Data synchronized between Hyperproof and Asana tasks

When you configure a task integration between Hyperproof and Asana, the following task fields are always synced in both directions. If you make a change to one of these fields in Hyperproof, the change is sent to Asana. If you make a change to one of these fields in Asana, the change is sent to Hyperproof.

  • Task title

  • Task description

  • Assignee - Only single assignees are synchronized, not group assignees.

  • Due date

  • Comments - Comments made in Asana show in the Hyperproof task’s Activity Feed, and comments made in the Activity Feed show in Asana.

Proof sync is unilateral—from Asana to Hyperproof. The Asana integration supports proof files stored on your computer or in Dropbox. At this time, it's not possible to attach files that have been uploaded to Asana from Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, or SharePoint.

Synchronization schedule

Changes are synchronized as follows:

  • Changes made in Asana are synced to Hyperproof in two ways:

    • Every 5 minutes for tasks that have recently changed.

    • Once a night to update changes for all tasks.

  • Changes made in Hyperproof are synced to Asana immediately after an edit.
