Linking access review proof to controls or labels

Roles and permissions

The following roles can link back proof:

  • Administrators with manager permissions for the access review and who are members of the controls and/or labels

  • Compliance managers with manager permissions for the access review and who are members of the controls and/or labels

  • Users with manager permissions for the access review and who are members of the controls and/or labels

Proof for an access review can be linked to controls or labels manually or by using the Link back proof option. First, generate the proof using the Create proof option, then link the proofwith the Link back proof option. See Generating proof for an access review.

Note

Users must have sufficient privileges to perform this action. Controls and/or labels that the user is not a member of are skipped over in the link-back process.

Note

The Link back Proof button is available only when the access review is set to a Completed status. Make sure you have clicked the Complete review button on the Review tab.

To link access review proof to controls or labels

  1. From the left menu, select Access reviews.

  2. Select the access review you need.

  3. Select the Proof tab.

The list of proof for this access review displays.

  4. Click Link back proof.

The Link back proof window displays.

  5. Do one of the following:

    1. Select the Controls checkbox to link the proof to the linked controls.

    2. Select the Labels checkbox to link the proof to the linked labels.

    3. Select both checkboxes to link the proof to both the linked controls and labels.

    Things to keep in mind:

    • If you add controls or labels after you have used the Link back proof option, the existing proof is not linked to the new controls or labels. You must link it manually or use the Link back proof option again.

    • Each time you use the Link back proof option, all proof is added to all the linked objects you select. When you open a control or label linked to the access review, you may see the same proof added multiple times.

  6. Click Review.

The Review and Confirm window opens.

    Note

This action can’t be easily undone! If you change your mind, the proof needs to be manually removed from the linked controls and/or labels.

  7. Click Confirm.

The proof is linked to the selected controls and/or labels.
