Catalog - Vendor details
Note
This option pertains to the Hyperproof TPRM product line.
To view vendor details:
From the menu, select Vendors.
Select Catalog.
The Catalog window displays.
Use the Search field at the top of the window to find the vendor you want to view.
The list of matching vendors displays.
Click the vendor tile.
The Vendor window displays.
Vendor window fields and sections
Header - Displays key vendor information, including:
Vendor Name
Vendor Manager
Category
Tags
Parent Entities
Child Entities
Website URL
Employee Count
Location
Product and Contact information
Sidebar - Lists pages and sections for the vendor. Clicking a page in the left menu displays the relevant sections and fields in the main body of the window. The sidebar can also include contracts and documents.
Note
Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable Vendor Contracts and Vendor Documents for a catalog and the associated vendors.
Main body -
Displays all sections and fields for the page selected in the left menu. See Managing catalog pages and sections for information on configuring pages, sections, and fields.
Hover over any field to edit or update it.
If the Generate Using AI feature is enabled, an AI icon will appear, allowing automatic population of the page.
Key features and fields
Vendor Manager - Click +Add to assign a manager to the vendor. In the Collaborators window, search for one or more Hyperproof TPRM users who will be vendor managers and click +Add.
Categories - Add the vendor to one or more categories to organize this vendor within your vendor list.
Tags - Highlight or differentiate vendors using tags.
Text field types - When adding or editing text fields, you can use the following special formats:
Email - Displays with an email icon and validates email addresses.
Phone - Displays with a phone icon and validates phone numbers.
URL - Displays with a link icon and becomes a clickable hyperlink.
Country - Enhanced format for displaying country information.
Parent and Child Entities - The catalog module allows users to manage hierarchical relationships between entities or vendors by defining parent-child associations. This feature enables a structured organization of vendors or entities, where users can specify which ones act as parents and which ones are their children. See Catalog - Edit vendor relationships.
You can view and modify the parent-child hierarchy of any vendor.
A vendor can have multiple parents and children.
When a vendor is assigned as a child of another vendor, the second vendor is automatically recognized as the parent. For example, if vendor A is assigned as a child of vendor B, vendor be is automatically recognized as the parent of vendor A.
To configure parent and child entities, the parent and child vendors must already exist in Hyperproof TPRM.
