Workflows - Finish component

Note

This option pertains to the Hyperproof TPRM product line.

The finish component is the final step in any workflow. It ensures that the workflow is marked as completed and presents the user with confirmation messages and summaries based on the configured settings. This component is mandatory for all workflows and finalizes the project life cycle. See Configuring workflow components

Key features include:

  • Mandatory completion node

    • Every workflow must include at least one finish component.

    • It signifies the end of the workflow and updates the project status to Completed.

  • Configuration-based behavior - The behavior of the finish component depends on the Auto Finish configuration:

    • Enabled - The workflow automatically completes without showing a confirmation window.

    • Disabled - A confirmation window displays when the user attempts to complete the workflow

  • Confirmation window - Displays the message: Are you sure you want to complete the request? You will not be able to edit the request again. Options include:

    • Save - Completes the workflow, marks the project as finished, and updates the status to Completed.

    • Cancel - Redirects the user to the previous component to make any final changes.

  • Finish message - The page displays a Finish Title and Finish Message Description, which can be customized via configuration settings.

  • Project summary navigation - After the project is marked as complete, users can click the Project Summary button to view a detailed summary of the project and its components.
