Creating a repeating task from a regular task
Roles and permissions
The following roles can create a repeating task:
Administrators who are members of a control, label, or risk
Compliance managers who are members of a control, label, or risk
Users who are members of a control, label, or risk
Limited access users who are members of a control, label, or risk register and risk
Repeating tasks are templates for regular tasks and can be created via the Automations tab found on controls, labels, and risks. You can convert a regular task to a repeating task. See Work items: Repeating tasks and Creating a repeating task.
Note
If you deactivate the user who created the repeating task template, no further tasks are created from the template. You must recreate the repeating task template. To find repeating task templates by the creator, go to Work Items > Repeating tasks and filter using the Created by field.
Note
If the task used to create a new repeating task has attachments, those attachments are not added to the new repeating task. Attachments can only be added to a repeating task after it has been created. See Linking an attachment to a repeating task.
